It’s our Countdown to Christmas Open House Wine Tasting Event this Saturday 6th September from 12noon to 3pm!
We are going to be showcasing six wines this Saturday so don’t miss this great opportunity to sample some wines and to get in early to make your wines for Christmas.
This week we will be sampling the commercial equivalents of our two top-selling wines – the Cru Select Italian Pinot Grigio and the Winery Series Amarone. These are consistently our top white and top red selling wine over the holiday period.
We will also be showcasing our second most popular red wine – the Winery Series Malbec. Malbec is definitely one of the most on-trend wines at the moment and the Winery Series Malbec is a fantastic great value wine.
And then something different – most of you will have heard of or tried the Apothic Red – well now we are pleased to introduce the new red wine in the Winery Series – the Winemakers Trio. This is a great easy drinking red blend and will be available at Wines Unlimited from 12th September. This is going to be a very popular new addition to the Winery Series so now is your chance to order it pre-release.
The second most popular white wine that we sell at Christmas time
is Chardonnay – and we will be showcasing the new Winery Series Chardonnay – a step up from the usual Cru Select Australian Chardonnay and one that we think will easily be in our Top Five White Wines this Christmas.
And finally, for those of you who like to think and plan ahead, we will be showcasing the En Primeur Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is designed to age in its bottle. So whilst you could certainly drink the wine this Christmas, if you make the wine in 2014 and age it until Christmas 2015 you will be in for a real treat.
